The DrillGadget allows
you to maintain the
manufacturer's critical drill
tip geometry.
High Speed Steel is  easily
sharpened with the
DrillGadget, both 118 degree
bits and 135 degree bits.
Black Oxide drill bits take a
little longer to sharpen with
the new drill bit sharpener, but
the results are just as good.
Cobalt drill bits are a challenge
to sharpen, but the chisel tip and
cutting edges were sharpened
accurately with this manual drill
bit sharpener.
Titanium coated drill bits, like cobalt,
take longer to sharpen with the
DrillGadget, but this one still didn't
requrie grinding with drill bit grinder,
the cutting edges and chisel tip
adequately sharpened.
Carbide tips are a challenge for any
drill bit sharpener.  Simply double
back a commercially available
diamond impregnated strip to the
honing surface of the DrillGadget.
If you don't break or abuse your bits, you don't need a grinder type drill bit
sharpener to sharpen them.

And the DrillGadget proves it by renewing the drill tip geometry.
