The shiny surfaces, pointed to with green arrows, are actual dressed edges from only a
few strokes of the DrillGadget. The DrillGadget can easily put a knife sharp edge on the
cutting edges of both 118 degree drill bits and 135 degree drill bits as well as maintain
the very important chisel tip. And it does it all at the proper rake angle as well, providing
the relief angle all bits need. Note the grinding marks from a motorized drill bit sharpener
have been removed with the DrillGadget, making the drill bit even sharper. This drill tip
geometry, or nomenclature, is crucial and must be maintained by your drill bit sharpener
for good drilling results.
The image abpve is a typical 118 degree drill bit. Images of 135 degree bits are shown
on Actual Results page.
When drilling wood, you should see
crisp shavings. When drilling metal,
you should see spiral chips. If you're
not, your drill bits are not sharp.
Shown are actual results from drill
bits sharpened with the new to the
market pocket size manual drill bit
sharpener, the DrillGadget.
Drill bits just don't work if the geometry has been compromised.

Maybe I should have named it Precision Drill Tip Restoring and Honing Tool because that's what it is. Thanks for visiting....Larry Douglas
